Industry Sector Initiatives
TI-USA encourages U.S. corporate engagement in global industry sector initiatives in the defense, banking and energy sectors. Many U.S. global defense companies agreed to common principles. More energy companies are now publicly reporting. For information on these and other sector initiatives under consideration, please contact TI-USA.
Collective Action Initiatives
TI-USA cooperates with TI in its collaboration with leading international organizations, such as the UN Global Compact, World Economic Forum PACI initiative and the World Bank Institute, in order to expand corporate adherence to no-bribery policies and robust programs.
- World Economic Forum PACI: TI-USA participated in the development of the PACI principles, based on the TI Business Principles for Countering Bribery. Working initially with a task force of engineering and construction companies, the principles have been adopted by over 100 CEO’s who have committed to implementation.
- World Bank Certification: TI-USA successfully advocated the World Bank requiring a bidder no-bribery certification.
- World Bank Institute: TI-USA contributed to the development of a new program, Fighting Corruption Through Collective Action, a guide and web portal provide guidance for companies doing business in corrupt environments.
